New City Government Faces Decisions

The City of government of Jefferson met with its citizens today to discuss some key issues facing that city, and Williams County as a whole. Holding all the county positions except sheriff and one spot in the House of Representatives, the city government is beginning to focus on the many obstacles it must deal with. Among these are increased poverty, condemned buildings, and the lack of a diversified economy. Mayor Benjamin encouraged his government to focus on methods with which to fund cleanup of the city, thus attracting new business into the area.
