Mayoral candidate Dane Walker (N, Washington)

The most striking accomplishment of Dane Walker’s mayoral bid is that he is running on a platform of environmentalism—even while he doesn’t know what ‘platform’ means. Walker plans to predicate his campaign a single issue: trees. His hope is that by promising to blanket his city with saplings, he will win over his town. He claims that more trees will promote environmental health, create new jobs, and stimulate the economy in turn. Today, Washington holds a vote to determine their new mayor. Until then you can be certain hear his constant refrain of “trees, trees, trees.”
