Bingham County: A Force to Be Reckoned With

By Jared Seymour, Staff Writer

Anyone watching the intricate web of politics has noticed the rise to power of Bingham County, with the Big Four electives calling Bingham County home, and many other state positions going to men from Bingham. Through careful strategy, political partnerships, and most importantly, the loyalties given to Bingham County from the men of Jackson and Monroe, Bingham County was able to dominate the field. Fortunately, for the other cities, very competent politicians were elected.

Unfortunate, however, is the uncertainty of what will drive these men who are referred to as the Big Four; the welfare of the state, or the loyalties the Big Four have to their county. I was able to get assurance from our governor Jeremy Browning, who stated that while he wouldn’t be able to please everyone, he would take his position as governor very seriously, and strive for the welfare of Boys State as a whole. Still, it would be wise to watch where Bingham County will take us.
