Adams City and McClelland County Results

Results for the City and county wide election were released yesterday with some surprising and some unsurprising results. Mr. Tuson who was favored to win the position of mayor did so with an overwhelming majority. His opponent Mr. Ross Pike though had made known his wish to run for Governor before the election so Mr. Tuson’s win was very unsurprising.

Mr. Tuson is a federalist who will have to work with a nationalist majority in the city council. Mr. Dungan and Mr. Billau have promised to watch Mr. Tuson very closely to make sure he only does what is best for Adams City so it will be interesting to see if any work actually gets done.

The state senators are split half and half between the nationalist and the federalist while seven of the eight spots where won by the nationalist party a surprising majority. Mr. Marsalis won the position of sheriff, Mr. Waugh won the Prosecuting Attorney position, and Mr. Brandon won the position of Circuit Court Judge, all are in the Federalist Party.
