Where’s Mr. Governor?

By Derek Bradley, Staff Writer

Today, every city received a courteous letter from our elected officials talking about the situation that happened with the bill about the World Cup. Being from Jackson City, our Mayor read the letter and then proceeded to read off everyone who had signed the letter. Afterward, there was one question commonly asked; where is our governor’s signature, the same man who passed the bill? The answer stood that it wasn’t there.

Now with all due respect, if our government is going to issue a statement about our actions as a state, should he not be obligated to if not write the statement, at least sign it? I guess it is all based on perspective but I the citizens of Jackson agree that was a pretty tacky situation, probably worse than the one wrote about in the letter.
