Nomination Aggravation

It was quite a tense day in the county of Baldwin today, with election nominations beginning at approximately 6:15. Members of
the city and county had tough decisions to fill their minds with which position to run for and what they would support. I had an opportunity to conduct an interview with an upstanding member of the board, Dan Fisher. Mr. Fisher is a resident of Pierce, a city in the county of Baldwin. He is a Federalist with many interesting ideas and values that would bring diversity and progression to the city’s political board.

My first question for Mr. Fisher was on the topic of the values that he would support for the city. It is always interesting to hear the motivation and implication that is the driving force for any of the candidates. Mr. Fisher replied:

“I have a strong engagement for stopping underage gambling. If we start at the source, rather, the younger people, we can eliminate the chances of a young person turning into an addictive gambler.”

Mr. Fisher continued to state that he would even go as far as to pass legislation for the city that eliminates the possibility of a minor buying or possessing playing cards or poker chips.

I continued the interview by asking Mr. Fisher his previous experience in leadership positions. Mr. Fisher proudly represented his past experience with his election to be vice president of his freshman class, and his election to Class President for his sophomore and junior year. On another impressive note, he was Student Body President his senior year. He has extensive knowledge in political views and theories and understands the current situations affecting Baldwin and its cities.

“I truly am excited to take on becoming Mayor for Pierce. I can bring to the people the things that they need, and I will do it in a memorable fashion.”

It certainly seems like Pierce and Baldwin are in for a very decent and admirable election process. It will be one you most definitely will not want to miss. Stay tuned for an update after the elections have completed.
