The Bagley Update

Skimming the Whirligig issue that made its way to every city in every county, Bagley comes up numerous times with serious issues plaguing the county.

One of them is a sports arena that could be built along the coast for a taxpayer bill that would total a cool fifty million while schools are falling behind the standards set by the rest of Boys State. These are issues that the senate nominees are asked to answer in detail.

Federalists running for the position, Kevin (Johnson) and Kyle (Lincoln) both supported the idea of the new arena because of its positive effect on the county and even state in the long run but not all the money should be dedicated to just that task. Nationalists also supported the idea but without the detail used by their Federalist counterparts. The next topic, the schooling, had a response by federalists to pool resources to better educate all students, making it fair for all the students. The Nationalists had a different idea, to spend more on schools that are sub par.

The Nationalists fell short in the long run, two spontaneous candidates without much preparation, where as the Federalists did, whether a suit or a thought out speech. “There speeches were much more brief compared to other Nationalist nominee positions and were very general explanations,” responds George Ostrander a Nationalist running for Lincoln City council.
