The Boy's State Board of Education strives to achieve the following goals for the schools and students of Boy's State:
-Better prepare students for the future through raising the standards of curriculum, as well as offering apprenticeship programs in tandem with the established companies of Boy's State.
-Efficiently distribute state funds according to need. The Board categorizes need through a three-tiered system that helps to determine which schools need the most assistance.
-Better educate students about the dangers of drugs and illegal narcotics, sexual activity, and alcohol so students can make informed decisions regarding these issues. To achieve these goals, the Board has chosen to mandate one year of schooling which focuses on these topics.
-Equalize the availability of education statewide by redrawing district lines to relieve overcrowded districts.
-Expose students to a more diverse learning environment by recommending that world studies and culture classes be included in local curriculums.
